March 5, 2024: Had a luncheon meeting in Dojima, Osaka with my friend who recently quit his job of MD at an investment bank and started a new investment fund company. February 15, 2024: Had the pleasure of attending a luncheon meeting in Osaka with Mr. Paul F. Roland, Director of the State of Indiana Japan Office. December 8, 2023: Visited Kasumigaseki, Tokyo, to pay a courtesy visit to Mr. Junji Suzuki, Minister of Internal Affairs and Communications. He and I have been friends since our Waseda University days, when he was practicing Iai-Do and I was practicing Karate-Do. November 24, 2023: The Kansai branch alumni reunion of “Wakei Juku (和敬塾),” a student dormitory in Tokyo, was held in Osaka. It was a lot of fun to have alumni from a wide range of age groups come together and talk.
